Chromatography was founded in 1980 by Klaus Bischoff as a company
specializing in refilling used HPLC columns (Refill
Service). Since 1980 the company's philosophy has been greatly influenced
by Klaus Bischoff´s experience. This includes working for a well-known HPLC
manufacturer for many years, working in the domains of development, application,
quality control and distribution as well as his close contacts to renowned
university professors in Germany and other countries. Our company is committed
to the use of modern technology in order to supply high quality and long
life products that are application and user oriented while reducing cost
and producing reliable results at the same time. The employees of this innovative,
high tech company feel a strong obligation to conserve resources, work environmentally-friendly
and reduce waste and pollution dramatically by optimizing separation techniques
and miniaturizing instruments. These are some of the reasons why our world-wide
unique Refill Service was readily accepted
by customers. BISCHOFF Chromatography
developed the universal HYPERCHROME column system
as early as 1981 to standardize column hardware. This unique system makes
it possible to use the HYPERCHROME column as
a cartridge or a conventional column. We offer almost the whole range of
commercially available packing materials prepacked in HYPERCHROME
hardware. With our reliable technique, quality and performance it did not
take long for BISCHOFF Chromatography
to become one of the leading column manufacturers in Germany and Europe.
In addition to developing instruments and improving the HPLC methods currently
used, BISCHOFF Chromatography has continued
to develop new stationary phases or transformed existing phases into marketable
products. This has been accomplished in collaboration with universities
and other research institutes. Intense research and long standing experience
with commercially available silica gels have led us to our new, ultra pure
silica gel ProntoSIL. ProntoSIL is the basis
of our top quality stationary phases. These phases and our proven packing
technology are used to manufacture high performance columns, setting a new
standard in the world of HPLC.
